  Pennsylvania's New Voting Machines. LWVPA Vice President of Government and Social Policy Jamie Mogil, and election security expert Kevin Skoglund, will host a conference call on Pennsylvania's new voting machines. To be discussed: Overview of the Governor Tom Wolf's mandate for new auditable voting systems, funding for the new machines, status of county purchases, the types of machines, and the need for hand-marked paper ballots for election security. Two 40-45 minute meetings, one at noon and one at 7 pm.

  Evening Program. Speaker is Dr. Keith Reeves, Professor of Political Science at Swarthmore College, where he is Department Chair and Director of the Urban Inequality and Incarceration Program at the college's Lang Center for Civic and Social Responsibility. Previously, Dr. Reeves was an associate professor of public policy at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government. He is also a former Henry Luce Scholar and the author of "Voting Hopes or Fears? White Voters, Black Candidates & Racial Politics in America". Dr. Reeves will discuss issues of crime and punishment, incarceration, and life after prison.
